How did you get started teaching?
After playing guitar and singing in the Indie band Grandview for many years I found myself interested in pursuing some alternative music career options. Teaching was an attractive choice for me both because it would allow me work remotely when I'm traveling, and also work from home so I can spend more time with my daughter. 2 years prior to when I started teaching I had begun to produce music for many different artists. The experience of making records has given me an amazing perspective of how to not only coach my students and develops their skill set, but actually teach them how to write their own music and even offer the service of recording and producing their music. Teaching has opened up an amazing world of making new friends and working with some incredibly talented people!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages ranging from 6 to 65 years old anywhere from no experience to advanced.

Recently I had challenged 2 of my students to write their own song. They each came back with some great material and we are in the process of recording a fully produced master of their music!
