Welcome to Charomai Piano Studio! My name is Ruth Sneller, and I enjoy helping kids cultivate a love for music. I teach piano lessons from the beginner level through early advanced. Also, I have a background working with students with disabilities. I graduated from Covenant College with a BA in Music, and a concentration in Piano Pedagogy.

How did you get started teaching?
Since I was 5 years old, I have loved music, piano in particular. Also, having grown up in a family with 6 kids, I love kids and enjoy sharing this passion with them.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught elementary through high school students (ranging from beginner to late intermediate). I also have adult students. Also, I have experience working with students with ADHD.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have a Christmas recital each year. I love to watch the students grow each year and share what they have learned with their families.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Think about why you would like to learn piano. What is your goal in taking lessons? This will affect what kind of teacher you would like to learn from. Also, think about what kind of payment method works best for your family. Many teachers differ in how they receive payments.
