I assess each individuals needs to tailor each lesson to their abilities and experience. Although I am a very experienced violinist, I have played piano my whole life and know how important it is as a reference point for all other instruments. Still today, when I learn a new song I sit at the piano first. I teach a strong technical foundation alongside teaching the songs and genres that the student finds inspiring. I believe musical community is essential for continued growth so I try my best to use my Philadelphia connections and give each student a place to play with or for within their ability range. I offer a free 30m trial lesson(in studio only) to make sure this is a perfect fit! About me: I've been teaching violin and piano since I was a teen in 2006 and have continued to do so the past 12+ years for people of all ages and abilities. I have a violin performance degree and extended studies at Le Vesinet Conservatoire in Paris. I've performed and recorded all kinds of genres and in all kinds of places! Learn more on my website:

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk about goals, what has inspired them to take lessons, what experienced they have(people always have a little more experience than they say they do) and discuss the plan of action. If we have more time we will try some basic excercises.
