Madeline Cecilia Music
About
Hello! My name is Madeline, and I have been teaching piano for 6 years, starting when I was around 14 with beginner piano students. Now, I teach from beginning to late-intermediate levels, from ages 5 to adult.
I follow a classical curriculum as the foundation for my students, but am happy when my students wish to expand to genres such as jazz, pop, folk, etc.
I absolutely love music. I am in college now, majoring in music.
For me, playing and creating music is so fun and enjoyable. It is hard work, but it is so rewarding. I love sharing this with those I teach. Teaching music is so fulfilling in its own right, because I get to watch my students grow and discover that love of music for themselves.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin with a 45 minute lesson, and then adjust further lessons (if one decides to continue) accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching for about 5 years, but I have been playing piano for 13 years, harp for 1.5, guitar for 2, and ukulele for 3.
Additionally, my mother is a piano teacher, so I have adapted much of my curriculum off of hers, with her help and guidance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $32/hr:
60 minute lessons: $32
45 minute lessons: 24
30 minute lessons: $16
How did you get started teaching?
I started by taking on a few younger, beginner students, and have gained experience as they have advanced. Now, I take on students of all ages and higher difficulties.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ages 5-14, but can take on adults as well.
I teach students at the beginner, elementary, late elementary, and intermediate levels.
