At Cunningham Piano Co. Music School, we enrich the lives of our students, our educators, and our community by providing the mentorship, methods, and motivation needed to lead a musical life. Our unique approach utilizes personal attention, artistic freedom, and community engagement to find out what that means for you.

We teach our students about the world of musical possibilities made available with an education from Cunningham Piano Co. Music School. Whether you or your child seek professional training for a career in music or a more casual exposure to the personal benefits of musicality, our highly consultative approach toward lesson planning creates customized goals that are both challenging and achievable. Our focus lies in fostering a love for the process of music education and offering the mentorship needed to for students to realize their full potential.

We encourage our music educators to achieve greatness by providing them with pedagogical and personal freedom in their instruction. We invest in top-notch professionals through a compensation structure rivaled by none, scheduling that accommodates and promotes external musical pursuits, and the license to conduct lessons in the manner that best supports a student’s artistic and personal growth. Our teachers separate the machine from the music and focus on the methods best suited to the student before them, promoting a fruitful and enjoyable learning environment.

We engage our community by facilitating free public seminars to spark interest in music education among non-professionals. Cunningham Piano Co. Music School is committed to sharing a love of the arts and an understanding of the life-changing power of music, and we constantly seek ways to expand our volunteer and scholastic endeavors in that pursuit. Our community outreach brings learning opportunities to those with the most interest and the greatest need, motivating people from all walks of life to live a life full of music.

We have students as young as four and students who have grandchildren in college, from beginners up to students that hold Masters Degrees in Music and want to continue study.

We also offer an adaptive music lessons program for students that are neuroatypical or have physical limitations.

All of our students have on thing in common--they don't just want to play music, they want to be musicians.

Our voice department hosts a choir over the summer! We are preparing for the Cunningham Community Choir Concert (later this month) and the entire voice department is having a BALL putting that together.

Music teachers should be considering the student as an individual, not as a member of an age group or skill level group.

Private lesson teachers, in particular, should incorporate multiple disciplines and approaches in their lessons--music theory, aural theory, solo performance opportunities, and group performance opportunities are important to offer students so that they can reach their full musical potential.
