Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Once a 5 years old student refused to play a Christmas piece"We Three Kings". When I asked her why, she said "It makes me cry in my heart". I thought it was so pure and insightful for a little child to feel so strongly the mood of the music.

I would advise parents to find a teacher who has education and experiance teaching students the age of their child.
Attend a Student Recital of your selected teacher.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask about:
1.what is the studio policy
2.does the teacher offer opportunity to play recitals/evaluations
