About
I specialize in improvisation and jazz theory. But I have a creative and individualized lesson plan for all of my students, and always incorporate elements of reading music as well as ear training.
The primary reason that students do not practice and complain about their lessons is because they are not fully engaged. I always want the student to be able to have some agency in their lessons and therefore I give them choices as far as what they're interested in learning about, alongside the fundamentals. We go into music history and theory as well, which gives a level of depth to my lessons that is unusual for a piano lesson.
I love working with people and seeing the excitement on their faces when they have accomplished their goals!
Music is also my main inspiration in life, I absolutely love all kinds. I grew up listening a variety of music from classical to rock and jazz. Additionally, I love to compose and create my own and share that passion with others.
