I have been teaching piano and guitar lessons for over 15 years. I also taught music and movement classes and elementary school classes for many years. I received my degree in education from Temple University and am certified in the state of Pennsylvania. I am also a singer with a local jazz band and songwriter. My experience as a student of music and a passion for education has lead to my belief that each student's lesson is an experience tailored to their abilities and learning style. I try to find a fun factor in each lesson and hopefully provide an incentive to practice.
I enjoy helping students gain new knowledge and learning to practice properly. Their successes are mine!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When a student begins lessons we take time to learn about their learning style, what they already know and what they are hoping to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Science in Education, I have studied piano, guitar, voice, songwriting and arranging privately with Jimmy Amadie, Chuck Anderson, Deborah Maher and studied Classical guitar at the Classical Guitar Store in Philadelphia.
