How are you?
I'm very patient, experienced and fun instructor. I started teaching professionally in 1985.
My concept is a very straight forward approach. By applying theory and technique to pieces of music.
The student learns proficiencies [scales, chords, theory, technique, reading and more]
As we work on pieces of music we apply the proficiencies, which gives the student a better understanding of music and the guitar.
We develop a song list. With a check list of things to do with the songs.
Melody, chords, advanced chords, chord melody, improvisation and riffs.
I also offer composition and song writing classes.
In addition to Music instruction.
I am a composer and professional performer.
I have performed thousands of gigs and concerts over the years.
Everything from intimate solo guitar engagements to full orchestra concerts.
Preforming many styles of music including original compositions.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with Asking the students what their musical goals are.
Then I explained my method of teaching and how it will help them achieve there goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Private lesson since the age of 9.
Berklee College of music.
After music college I study with Dave Creamer.
And attended many workshops with the world's top musicians.
Over 40 years of experience.
