About
Welcome to Key Note Studio! My name is Megan Mahoney, and I’m a lifelong pianist, composer, and music educator with over 18 years of piano experience and 6 years of teaching under my belt. I’ve worked as a musical director for stage productions, a composer for original musicals, and a dedicated private teacher for students of all ages and backgrounds.
At Key Note Studio, lessons go beyond just learning to read notes, we focus on making music mean something. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your artistry, I tailor each lesson to meet your individual goals. I prioritize musical understanding, emotional expression, and healthy technique. Most importantly, I want you to love music as much as I do.
Lessons are held in a welcoming, fully-equipped studio space, and I provide printed music, individualized assignments, and encouragement every step of the way. I teach students age 8 through adult, and I specialize in:
