Rose Moerschel

Hello! I am a Massachusetts-based freelance violinist looking to build a teaching studio serving musicians of all ages and abilities! I am looking to primarily teach violin, as this is my main instrument, but I can also teach beginner piano, and any level of music theory.

Born into a family of professional classical musicians, I began studying violin and piano at the age of four, and played my first concert at the age of five. I began my professional violin performance career at the age of nine, and my teaching career at the age of eleven. Since then, I have played professionally around the country and world, as a soloist, chamber musician, and part of the violin section of different regional orchestras. Armed with an extensive performance resume, a boundless passion for music, and a patient yet determined approach to teaching, I believe I can curate the perfect balance of technical skill and passion in my teaching to take any student to where they go on their musical journey.

One principle that is of particular importance to me in my pedagogical system is tailoring my teaching method and approach to each student as an individual. Just like every student comes into my studio with their own unique backgrounds, personalities, learning styles, and goals, I bring a fresh, individualized plan and teaching style to each one of them. Nurturing and preserving the students’ love for music while keeping them on track with their musical goals is of paramount importance to me.
