Matt McKay Music

Matt McKay is a full-time music industry professional. Touring with live bands and as a soloist since the early 1980s, McKay also teaches guitar and other stringed instruments, voice, songwriting, recording, electronic music production, performance, audio engineering and other topics related to the music business.

As a music educator, McKay exhibits patience, knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, focusing on individual student needs and learning habits. This allows students of all abilities and ages to learn effectively at a comfortable pace.

McKay's past musical affiliations include many well-known artists and musicians, including: Extreme, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Rick Berlin Band, Stave Vai, Aerosmith's Joe Perry Project and many others. Matt McKay's long career and involvement in most every aspects of the music business equate to a knowledgeable, mature, effective educator.
