The Guitar Studio is a family run operation offering private music lessons in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano, Voice, Violin, Woodwinds and Brass. Conveniently located a 1/4 mile off Exit 6 off Rt 95, in West Greenwich in the Exit 6 Plaza.
Our instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, patient and committed to challenging each student to bring out their full potential.
All students are taught with an organized, one step at a time approach tailored to their needs and interests. All ages, skill levels, beginners to advanced are welcome.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The Guitar Studio offers a comprehensive music education experience to all ages, beginner to advanced.
Experience one-on-one music lessons, taught by professionally trained instructors.
High-quality private music lessons offered in guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, woodwinds and brass.
Our lessons are tailored to each individual student's needs, interests and goals.
School Age students can work with their instructors on All State requirements, school related concerts and auditions (including college).
They are designed to be fun and ensure a steady progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of our instructors have a music degree , or are working toward one . We also have music teachers here that have many years of playing and teaching experience .

Monthly Tuition
Students at the Guitar Studio pay monthly for lessons.
Monthly fees are due the first week of the month.
It is $90 per month for a weekly half hour lesson .
$180 for weekly hour lessons
$45 for half an hour every other week .
$20 dollar trial lesson
How did you get started teaching?
Matthew Kearns is the owner and operator of the Guitar Studio since its opening in 2002. Matthew holds music degrees in both Classical and Jazz studies. He has over twenty five years of teaching experience with students of all ages and skill levels. Matt currently teaches guitar, bass, voice, mandolin, banjo and ukulele. Aside from teaching, Matt oversees the day to day operations.
Matthew is an active musician in the area performing in various settings as a soloist and as a member of several different groups .
