My teaching approach:
I begin with each student where s/he needs to begin. I don't take a student who has had the basics and waste their paid time with the basics. I enjoy teaching students who have learned music theory in Band/Strings/Orchestra and can move right to Rock/Metal/Alternative. I teach fun "short-cuts" that keep the student self-entertained while they're still figuring out music theory.
My guitar lessons take place in:
