Todd King Guitar Lessons

Todd King Guitar Lessons

My teaching approach: At 17, I was in a band with seasoned musicians that honed me into lead guitar and vocals and a path to a metal group Birthright who went on to open for national acts like Bride, Precious Death and Motley Crue. Im currently a lead guitarist and back up vocals for a national touring group Kick, The INXS Experience. With over 25 years performing and teaching guitar I use my wealth of experince to bring the best out of my students from beginners to even the well advanced players. Many of my students have gone on to pursue a degree in music as well as a career in music. My influences are: Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Yngwie Malmsteen and Randy Rhodes My guitar lessons take place in: The teacher's studio Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours: Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 are my teaching hours. Guitar Techniques: Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Fingerstyle, Slide Guitar, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following: Tuning a guitar is the start of a new students lesson and my evaluations start from the very begining. Seeing how a student holds a guitar tells me a lot and the first strum of the chords even more. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: No guitar lesson is ever the same as I taylor each one of them to the ability and desire of each student. I do however, incorporate fingering techniques, theory and reading in some form into the lesson plan. The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: An ideal student are those who want to learn.

I enjoy sharing the love of music to all.
