About
I guarantee that our students will have all of the knowledge that they need to advance on their own after only 5 lessons with us. Music is our passion. Music is our life. With over 40 years experience in the music world, we are well equipped with the musical expertise needed to provide our clients/students, with the knowledge needed to excel in whichever subject they choose to explore, whether that be in the new found skill of being a guitarist, or traveling down the streets and avenues that lead to the art of sound engineering, music production, beat creation or songwriting.
ALLLLL of it!!!!!! Recently I opened a music production business, and have a website with a SOUNCLOUD account. The song featured is 100% me, start to finish, but also my first attempt at recording a song through Studio One 4.6 Professional (the DAW that I use). Lead guitar begins after the drums and percussion kicks in. It showcases a bit of my playing style, rhythm and lead alike, as I am both parts, also drums, as well as composing the arrangement. Our site is HavAUDIO.com.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally, even with just the very first lesson, my students will lleave with an abundance of knowledge, specific to the course of their choosing. I am an efficient, but thorough teacher, who absolutely loves being able to accompany my pupils at every stage of their journey, until they feel that they are ready to advance further on their own accord.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been learning/teaching/playing guitar for 33 years, and have taught upwards of 40 individuals the art of guitar, of which about two thirds of are still moving right along on their journey, and are even more excited now, than ever, that they chose to stick with what I taught them, and to just actually follow through with something as tasking as learning to play an instrument.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We charge $40.00 a lesson, which can range from 30 minutes to an hour (depending on my schedule...I LOVE guitar and music, and enjoy doing this, so if i am open, i will sometimes go for as long as my client is willing to learn and absorb the info i am presenting to them. *BONUS* I am in the process of learning to become a luthier (guitar builder) and will share all of my knowledge in that field as well as how to setup my clients own personal instrument.
How did you get started teaching?
I was born with the desire to help others in any way that I can, and teaching, whether it be music production, guitar, or learning to ride a bike, lol, is what I love to do.. it all goes hand in hand.
What types of students have you worked with?
ALL types, ALL ages, ALL skill levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Being given the opportunity to help with the sound in an upcoming movie, and by that, I mean possibly arranging and recording the actual theme song for the production... UBER excited about that!!!!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Go with the guy who L O V E S this, and would do it for free, if there werent bills that had to be paid, lol. One thing that separates me from other terachers is this, I don't want my students to learn how to play guitar like I do, I want them to learn how to play guitar like THEY do!! What I mean by that is this....I have my own sound technique, and style, that is unique to me. The reason that is, is because I am 100% self taught. I love the fact that I stuck with this, even through the early years, where I heard a lot of "youre not going to bring...ummm...your guitar are you?". Lol, those were the hard times and the moments that I wanted to just quit and give up...the times where i thought to myself, "self...you'll never rock a lead solo, and will never be able to just hear the first few bars of a song and be able to join in as if youve known it your entire life, and youll never have the skill set to just walk onstage and grab one of the house bands guitars and start jamming along with them without them kicking you off of the stage...and Sony Music will NEVER call your guitar playing "FLAWless".....but I would be wrong, because each and every one of those things have happened. I think back on those early years and laugh, but I also congratulate myself for a job well done.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Trust in your teacher, and stick with it!!! I cant stress that enough!!!! I was NOT born a natural guitar player and it has taken me a LONG time to arrive at this point, but I also didnt have someone walking me through the do's and dont's at any point. I sometimes wish that I would have had that, but then again, God knows what he is doing so I trust his path. The experiences that I have been through, have given me the knowledge to be able to teach guitar the CORRECT way, form, and fashion. What I have to offer is the real deal, and given the chance to earn your business, I will provide you with the reassurance that you have made the right choice in teachers! God bless!!
