I have been teaching piano and flute lessons since 1984. Teaching is my passion and I love working with all my students whatever their level. I studied music at the University of Tennessee. I teach in my home studio and online.
I love to teach each student at their level and at their pace. I've taught ages 4-73 and enjoy each and every stage of life and learning! The biggest satisfaction I have with teaching is seeing a student overcome a hurdle or achieve a personal music goal. Several of my students have been awarded scholarships to universities on their chosen instrument and I'm so very proud of them but I'm equally proud of the students who wants to learn for self enjoyment or to decompress after a long day.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We talk about what their goal is for taking lessons and the best way to reach that goal. I use a curriculum and music pieces that best suits each student. I teach at their place, not mine or any other students.
