Piano Lessons By Kim Leake

I have been a private piano instructor for more than 20 years, teaching all ages. With piano studios located in East Knox county, West Knoxville and the Seymour areas, I'm able to serve a large portion of the Knoxville and surrounding areas. Jazz, classical, Christian and Lyrical genres are my favorites. I have found that "one size fits all" approach to music really doesn't work. Through the interview process as well as the introductory lessons, I learn more about the student and their learning style to customize their learning experience.

Most individuals take lessons as a child. Helping young musicians develop a life long love for music is important to me. By providing a well rounded course of study, the student will be able to take their musical skills to other band or orchestra instruments and excel in those as well. Some students are adults, either learning the piano for the first time or returning to lessons after abandoning them as a child. Adults often need a more streamlined approach for piano and we can accomplish that through chord methods or other alternate styles.

Above all else, students should love their piano lessons and look forward to coming each week. Feeling proud of your accomplishments makes continuing lessons more attractive. I strive to make your learning experience fun, productive and satisfying.
