I have been a vocal coach in the Mid South for over 40 years. Unlike many teaching voice today, I actually have a degree in voice. For 25 years, along with being a private vocal coach, I was also the choir director that, at the time, was the largest high school in Memphis. I have worked with literally thousands of voices from the very young, to what some would say, well seasoned. I work with people right where they are. By that, I mean that there is no standard someone has to reach in order to work with me. I listen to each individual voice, note areas that need more attention, and we go from there. Can I make everyone a solo singer? No. Run from anyone who says they can. What I can do is help most everyone sing better than they do now. But remember that the whole process depends on not just the level of instruction, but how hard the learner is committed to working, daily practice, and willingness to change incorrect singing habits. This whole venture is done together for your benefit. I have students, and former students, that are singing all around the world, on and off Broadway, Broadway touring companies, cruise ships, Las Vegas, theme parks all around the world, musical theater, on tour with celeberties, and recording artists. I also have clients who want to sound better singing the hymns at church, or to want to sound better in the shower. Whatever your goal might be, I would be honored to help you on your journey.
