My name is Isabel and I would love to be a part of your child’s musical journey. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in music composition. I have been playing piano for over 15 years and started teaching seven years ago. I also teach guitar, violin, viola, and music theory.
My expertise is in introductory to intermediate piano pedagogy, where I focus on skills such as foundational music theory, proper technique, reading music, etc. From there, I build a curriculum based on each student’s strengths and learning style to give them the best experience possible.
I have seen the most success when my students are actively involved in shaping their lessons. In the past, I have done songwriting, transcribed video game music, arranged musical theater songs at their level, and integrated physical activity to both build rapport and ingrain in them that their input is important! Of course, I also use traditional piano fundamentals to ensure that they are getting a well rounded music education.
