Hello, I am Oscar Dismuke, a retired college professor. I have retired from Music ministry as well with more than forty years experience. Subjects that I've taught include Music Theory. Aural Skills, piano, low brass instruments, Choral Conducting, Brass Techniques, and Music Appreciation. I have experience preparing students for college auditions as well. I have numerous experience as a performer and conductor as stage plays such as West-side Story, The Wiz, Guys and Dolls and numerous other stage productions. I have Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education. I have also completed the course work for the Doctorate in Tuba performance. Experienced in various styles of music, I am uniquely able to help students obtain their musical goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 45 years as a professional musician, including music educator, church musician, orchestral conductor for stage plays, music arranger, as well as performer. I have 18 years experience on the University level teaching piano, low brass, music theory, choral conducting, and brass techniques. I have been teaching private piano for thirty-three years. I have a B.S. and a M.A, in Music education. I have completed all the courses for the D.M.A.
