The area's best guitar lessons for the last 14 years inside of Lippman music store has moved to the College Station Walmart area due to the store closing. For over 20 years teaching guitar for the cities of Navasota, Brenham, Bryan, and College Station. Tubie Pushe'e of Tubie and the Touchtones has inspired students to excel in guitar and music theory.

This is the area's most trusted, experienced, and successful guitar instructor. With students that have gone on to graduate from The University of N. Texas, Texas A&M, and the University of Texas in music, plus numerous students making a living playing music, this is the guitar lessons of choice for the best.

I am accepting beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. All ages welcome. Learn to just strum a rhythm, or learn multiple lead guitar styles, or finger picking, or dive into music theory. Learn your favorite classic rock, country, or Christian song!

Lesson times are filling up fast for the fall semester.....BOOK NOW for the best after school times!

Also offering minor guitar repair and string replacement.
Parents encouraged to stay for the lesson. I have references and excellent reviews.

Guitar needed for practice. I will provide all paperwork necessary.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Exercises are important to develop muscle and dexterity, but all students want to play songs. New students will leave their first lesson with a short exercise program and playing a song.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Scholarship in music as a music major at Wharton Co. Jr. College. 35 years of playing in bands, 5 CDs released, 15 years of teaching guitar in private lessons and for the cities of College Station, Bryan, Navasota, & Brenham

$25 for 1/2 hour lesson

$40 for an hour lesson

$40 for 1/2 hour lesson with 2 people


How did you get started teaching?

Taught 6 years of free classes at the Navasota Public Library for the local youth

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We are the only band asked to play the yearly fundraiser for the NICU families in the area plus have played several Wounded Warrior benefits.


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Don't go to the big commercial music stores that are the fast food of the music teaching industry. Check your teacher's credentials.
