Chris Evans Guitar Lessons

My teaching approach:

I am a musician based in the greater Houston area. I have been playing the guitar since the age of eleven. I began playing in the church at the age of 12 in which I truly discovered my passion for music. I have played in many churches and have played the role of Music Director in various houses of worship. I have performed in national shows such as "Rock The Bayou" and featured my work in many well known studio demos. My guitar work is used on “Letâ€TMs Make A Deal” and other national projects.

My influences are:

Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayer, Ottis Redding, Van Halen, RHCP, Johnny Cash, Rush, Dave Matthews, Stevie Wonder, Imagine Dragons, Dallas Green etc... .

My goal in the first lesson is to find out what my student's interests and goals are. Once these are both established, we move forward towards achieving those goals and having fun along the way.

I have been teaching for over ten years. My goal in teaching is to have my students exceed my own level of proficiency. My applied teaching style has been proven effective with students from ages 3 to 75 and with students with heavy onset learning disabilities. My joy and passion for teaching music is what drives my company Lessons On The Go as a whole. The focus is always the student and instilling the love of music and education.
