About
I teach within the Corpus Christi area and offer both in person and online lessons. I have several degrees in classical guitar performance and have been instructing music for nearly 20 years. I have taught all ages and have also been employed as a guitar instructor in local high schools and community colleges.
My approach to teaching caters to the students’ individual needs, rather than a “one size fits all” method. I teach classical, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar.

Im really happy with Tylers teaching style. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented, and he structures each lesson just to me. He is also very patient and encouraging, which is great for a beginner like me.
One of the things I appreciate most about Tyler is that he is always willing to go the extra mile to help me learn. For example, when I asked to learn a specific fingerstyle song, he provided me with a sheet music arrangement that we went over together. He also took the time to explain the different techniques involved in playing the song, which really helped me to understand it better.
In addition to his teaching skills, Tyler is also a very talented musician. Ive heard him play some beautiful classical and Spanish style music, and Im always impressed by his skill and musicianship.
Tyler is located in a convenient location for me, which makes it easy to get to my lessons. Im so glad that I found Tyler as a guitar teacher, and I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning how to play the guitar.
