About
The most important part of playing any instrument or being a vocalist is being able to comprehend music theory and how to read music. My primary instrument is Saxophone, since I have been reading music for over 20 years my skills are transferrable to almost every wind instrument. I have experience working with youth and adults as I have over 8 years of professional teaching experience on the secondary and collegiate level. I enjoy working with beginners as I have a program geared to enhance the musicianship among the youth across the nation. I would love to assist you in enhancing your skills as a musician being in person or virtually as I am adding several other instruments for instruction currently I offer lessons for piano, all woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. In addition I tutor for music theory and assist individuals prepare for auditions such as solo and ensemble, concert festival, and even college band ensembles. If you allow me the opportunity to assist you in strengthening yourself as a musician you will be glad you did.

Urban Dreams Music and Arts Program (UDMA) a national leader in the effort to assure diversity in the arts. Founded in 2018, UDMA is a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that offers inner city youth between the ages of 8 and 19 advanced study and high caliber success in instrumental music and dance. UDMA’s objective is to transform the lives and minds of young people by developing character, challenging emotional, physical, psychological, and social recreation while promoting the values of team work through camaraderie, honor and respect by dignity, determination with grit, and perfection through showmanship. Through our comprehensive instrumental music and dance ensembles UDMA is committed to exposing youth to the great music of the world and providing them with opportunities to perform that music in the most magnificent settings of our community.

To build and sustain a community fine arts program that supports the dreams, goals and overall academic success of students grades 6 – 12 through music and arts education. Urban Dreams wishes to strengthen local band programs, increase college readiness and develop talent for collegiate and professional instrumental music ensembles. Through music theory, instructional learning and digital media, we challenge scholars to be creators and innovators as they develop their own sound.

Skill enhancement - UDMAP provides youth in North Texas particularly the Dallas Fort Worth area a place where they are uplifted, a place where they can be mentored and trained by the most elite musicians in the city. Help underserved youth build the skills, confidence, and leadership they need to reimagine their dreams.
College Readiness - Develop additional pre-college pathways for students to increase college readiness. (Instrumental and music technique clinics with music scholars, Fine Arts College Fairs, College tours, speaker events.) Hold life learning seminars (Time management, Money management).
Performance Opportunities - Teach youth locally and nationally the great world of music by providing opportunities for the youth to perform music in some of the greatest settings of the world, as well as prepare them for opportunities to play in college and professional ensembles. This helps build the confidence of the students.
