About this pro

Hi! I have been teaching lessons of all skill levels and styles to students of all ages for the last 8 years. I have a Masters in Music from UNT as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music from TCU. I always put the interests of the student first, and structure  each lesson to best fit their needs. The student always comes first!

I enjoy getting to meet new people and helping them to find what interests them in music. I enjoy seeing what I do benefit others as well as watching them progress steadily. That brings a great amount of satisfaction to me, and most importantly to the student.

Jesse has been patient and very helpful. I have found the lessons to be educational and fun. And Jesse enjoys chatting about music in general - always a plus.

Jesse is a very patient, attentive teacher. I was nervous about starting cello as a 43-year-old adult, but Jesse makes the whole process approachable. I highly recommend Jesse for students of all ages.

Jesse is an amazing teacher. I have taken guitar lessons from him. My 11 year old daughter takes guitar/piano lessons from him as well. He is very patient and explains lessons well. He is great about answering any questions we have. I would most definitely recommend him for lessons! (:

The perfect teacher for my daughter. Carefully reviews how to hold the cello, correct technique for bow and tune. Details lesson plans for the week. Has selected sheet music to match my daughter's interests. She is thrilled.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Typically, I will try to probe the students interests, its most important to find what they want to study first so I can then tailor the ciricullum towards what is going to inspire them to practice. I will see what type of music they listen to, or find certain songs (disney, etc.) that they want to learn, then approach these songs in a way that facilitates their understanding of the instrument. It's a fun way of getting them to learn the basics!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have both a Masters of Music from UNT as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Music from TCU.
