We have been practicing, training and teaching martial arts for for over 20 years. We are experienced, qualified, certified, accomplished and passionate about what we do every day. We are happy to do what we believe is our life's work every day.

I have always been a fan of traditional martial arts. I have also been a teacher and instructor in several fields and the military. When I became a parent, I wanted my children to have the discipline, spirit, confidence and personal grace that comes with regular martial arts training and practice. As an example to them and to fulfill my lifelong desire to be a martial artist, I began training and ultimately became a certified instructor and school owner. At the invitation of a teacher at Hodge Elementary in Denton, and after obtaining the necessary permissions from our senior instructor, business training and operating licenses,  we opened our school in Denton in 2003 as an after school program in the gymnasium at Hodge Elementary school. We practiced our passion for martial arts and teaching children. We opened our first school in 2004. My wife taught full time but I was only engaged on a part time basis and helping teach after work and on weekends. When the opportunity came for me to leave my position and invest my time fully in myself and my school, I began teaching as a full time instructor with her in 2006.

I love it when my students demonstrate what they've learned in our school belt testinfs.
