I love Texas Storm Kenpo Karate not only because my daughters have a great time and have built friendships along the way but mostly because I see the passion and dedication in every single instructor with students on and off the mat whether it is in the form of the art, life skills/lessons, giving encouragement or building confidence. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and I couldn't feel more blessed to have this village along my side. As a mother nothing lightens up my heart more than seeing Lilly and Gianna excel and become these amazing, confident, brave, outspoken yet respectful young warriors.

Texas Storm has become a huge part of our life. Both of my kids are in karate class, after school camp, and the summer camps and I have been working out with the Kenpo Fit classes. My kids love it and they are learning so much including some important life lessons. It is clear that all of the staff care about all of their members.

Everybody is like family. They're never pushy about their additional products or services but are so approachable you feel comfortable asking them about anything. My kiddo is one of their lil dragons and he loves it. I've done their defense classes and wow. I was so surprised with all the knowledge i received in just one class. I intend to take part in more services they have as well. They're attentive and caring and treat you just like family. 💙

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We typically start with a 6-week Trial Membership program. The trial membership allows student 12 classes to determine if our school is a good fit for them.

After the orientation visit, students get to pick two classes per week to attend. They will learn how to put on a uniform correctly, along with some basic blocks, stances, kicks, and punches during their trial.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The senior instructor Bill Piper has 32 years of experience and is a 4th Degree Black Belt, is a sought-after lecturer, a seminar instructor, a writer with 3 books on martial arts under his belt, and has been inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

The head instructor, Heather Piper (Bill's daughter) is a 3rd Degree Black Belt with 23 years of teaching and training in this art. Heather runs all 5 kids programs, teaches, and helps train our staff.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We have several options, after the 6-week trial program to meet the needs of most students.
