What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer a free trial lesson to assess the goals, level, and interest of each individual student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our instructors have several years of training and performing that informs how they teach and communicate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $140 on the 1st of each month.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure it's a good match! There are so many different styles of teaching and genres of music to choose from!
Few things discourage your musical journey like a mismatch of student/instructor. If you're hoping to learn your favorite classical piece on piano, be sure your instructor can and will give you the tools to accomplish that! If you're hoping to brush up on your guitar chords, be sure your instructor is able to accomodate that as well.
Also, it takes TIME! There is no quick-fix for learning an instrument or skill. Be willing to put in the time and effort for practice- be patient with yourself.
