Mike Conde's Guitar Lessons
About
With over 35 years of experience as a guitarist/musician, Mike began teaching guitar professionally in 2004.
Throughout that time he has self-published his original material on 3 independent releases, performed countless shows as a headlining act, and has opened for groups like Extreme, and Styx to name a few.
Prior to that, Mike recorded and toured with national recording artist Drive and was published internationally through Zoo Ent./BMG on Drive’s second release in 1992. He still performs live and online as well as writes, produces, and releases original material.
I enjoy teaching music through guitar. I tailor lessons to help each student reach their unique objectives. I teach most genres, but I tend to lean more toward fundamental musicianship skills. So the student develops a solid foundation that can be used in any musical situation. Depending on the student's ability I will usually pull lessons from songs or artists they enjoy so they can experience first hand how the information works from songwriting to improvising, and or developing melodic guitar solos. I use the number system sprinkled with traditional music theory and believe its better to encourage rather than pressure a student to succeed. To me, the more fun and enlightenment, the better!
