Skiles is a good teacher. His lessons are easy to pick up on and he’s real flexible with scheduling. Only gripe is that sometimes lessons would occasionally get interrupted with a phone call, but overall I very much recommend this place for learning guitar for the first time.

Frequently asked questions

Since we teach all ages and all instruments it varies quite a bit. As a guitar teacher I evaluate where the student is ability wise and what their desires are. All beginning guitar students need to learn and play things that will build up their coordination  as quickly as possible. We start ,generally with basic music terms, parts of the guitar a few chords and a easy riff or two. This is usually what the first lesson consists of.

I have been playing for over thirty years and have a Bachelor of Music degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. i am a professional musician have been teaching since 1984

Our lessons are 125.00 for 4-30 minute lessons. Some students take hour lesson. We recomend taking a lesson every week.

I started playing professionally at 15 and I started teaching while I was in college.

I have worked with students of all ages from 5 to 80.

Take a trial lesson from a couple of teachers.

How long have they been teaching? What is their education and professional background?
