About

At The Rehearsal Room, we are a community of musicians that are here to help.

We offer lessons for guitar (acoustic + electric), bass, drums, piano, voice, and songwriting. Along with that we have a group of Young Artists that we mentor and teach the ins and outs of musical entrepreneurship, performing, writing and recording. We also have 15 student bands from elementary - adult and are always forming more. If you have a desire to learn music, or to create music, we are here to help.

Each student meets one-on-one for 30 min each week with their instructor were they go through a curriculum written by us, based around his or her own individual musical taste. Our students have ranged from 6 years old to over 80 years old - it's never too early or late to learn to play!

The Rehearsal Room's mission is to not JUST coach our students with regard to how they play an instrument, but rather to help them become the people they hope to become.

Every instructor at The Rehearsal Room is a musician first and a teacher second, and that is what makes us a very special team. Come join our community!

Both of my boys started music lessons in elementary school. My older son chose to play the acoustic guitar, and my younger son chose to play the drums. In the beginning they enjoyed their lessons, but hated practicing. We took breaks and tried two different music studios along the way. At times they both lost interest and pleaded to quit their lessons until we found Keeton Coffman. Once they started taking lessons from Keeton their attitude drastically improved towards music. Until this time, practice felt like a job for me. I would have to sit and encourage them to complete their practice. Keeton immediately had my boys playing songs they recognized and felt proud to play. They became personally motivated to practice and improve with each lesson. Our family feels so blessed to find Keeton Coffman and The Rehearsal Room. Our 16 year old son now plays the electric and bass guitar in two rock bands, and our 14 year old plays the drums in a band as well.
As a parent, what I appreciate most about The Rehearsal Room in comparison to other music studios is the ability to use the lessons for whatever musical growth we choose. Our drummer now sings and plays the guitar, and our guitarist now plays the piano and has started singing. My boys also use their lessons to write and record their own songs.

We have had such an overwhelmingly positive experience at The Rehearsal Room with both my experienced musician and my little novice. My oldest came to The Rehearsal Room at 11 years old with five years of classical guitar lessons and 2.5 years of classical piano lessons under her belt and I wondered what they could bring to the table for her. At 13 years old she is now a confident singer-songwriter and performer. For 6 months she was able to concentrate on songwriting and really hone her skills to find her voice as a writer and musician. Having such confidence in her musicality led her to explore another instrument and she found that she loved playing drums! My little one attempted classical guitar lessons at a different music place when she was 7 and hated every second of it. When she turned 8 she begged to try drums and we turned to Keeton at The Rehearsal Room to try it out. It was love at first beat! Five months into drum lessons she wanted to try guitar and then piano and now I have her doing all three instruments under Keeton’s instruction. Between my girls they have had lessons with Jana and Keeton and Emily and they are all unique and wonderful and patient and excellent instructors. I expect that I will have a child taking lessons at The Rehearsal Room for many years to come!
