Kimberly’s Music Studio
About
I’m passionate about teaching music. Not only does music help my students learn to create art, but also helps them as a whole person. I use music to teach my students to succeed in whatever they decide to pursue.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know each student, and I like for each student to get to know me. The beauty of private lessons is that each one is unique, and I approach each one as an individual.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a classically trained singer with a bachelors degree in vocal music and education. I also received extensive training at the piano while in college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Each student receives one 30 minute lesson each week and I charge $90/month.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught public school choir at the middle and high school levels for 3 years. When I had my first child, I wanted to be at home with her, so I began my in-home, private studio. That was almost 20 years ago and I absolutely love teaching privately and have never looked back!
What types of students have you worked with?
I work mostly with older children and teens. I’m also very happy to take on children as young as 5 and adults. A few of my students are on the autism spectrum and I have loved helping them grow.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone with integrity, that you can count on to be there for you. Look for someone who teaches you to become an independent musician.
