What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to know the student's goals and preferred styles of music. I will also get to know his/her instrument/aural skill/musical knowledge level through listening to one or two pieces of music he/she was playing. If the student is a beginner, we will start from basic melodies and rhythms, aiming to strengthen his/her aural skills.
