Hello potential student,
My Name is Rob Hunter. I have been a musician since 3rd grade in Chicago area. My father was a wonderful musician and passed on his love to me. I moved to Wylie 13 years ago and opened a music school. I have been teaching 12 of the 13 years that I have lived here.
Recently sold the school but have continued to teach on a limited basis. I am a voice teacher as well a guitar instructor. My specialty is to motivate and build a stable foundation in the guitar student as well as my vocal students. My students understand well how to navigate the fret board with confidence. I have many success stories.

I love passing on the gift of music to those that are hungry to learn. Music is a neccessity in my life and enhances my life tremeandously. I would like others to experience what the knowledge of playing or singing can do in their lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All students have their own personality and abilities. My job is to assess the student and to teach a general or basic lesson in a way that is personalized for thast student to progress. I generally don't start guitar students until age 8, but on occasion have taught as young as 6 if the apptitude for learning is exhibited. I believe all students should read music notation. I specialize in teaching begining students the skill of understanding the stafdf and music notation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Fine Arts I owned a music School in Wylie Texas for 13 years and have been teaching voice and guitar for 12 years. I have sent several students to the TV programs the Voice and Americas Got Talent. One of which went through the battle rounds with Usher as her coach. Another formerstudent is a Movie personality who appeard in Television series various commercials, CSI and was also in a movie with Drew Barrimore and Adam Sandler - Blended. I have worked with hundres of students in vocal competitions, my record for producing talent has been extraordinary.

My standard Prices are:
$35 for 1/2 Lesson
$45 for 45 Minute Lesson
$60 for one hour lesson
Prices based on one lesson each week or 4 lessons per month
