I began teaching lessons after going through years of lessons myself as a child. As most children do, I began to despise the boring repitition of scales and routine sight reading from the book. After several years of wanting something else I found a way to learn all your favorite songs by going off the book (literally). Ever since I have been teaching a fun new way to learn all your favorite new songs by learning to play by ear alongside the basics of reading chords and sheet music.

10 years of taking piano and guitar lessons myself. I then went on to teach for a company called Rokk Skoool where I developed a curriculum I could teach on my own at home. 18 years of playing by ear. 11 years of teaching others how to play by ear
