Welcome! I'm Dan Nobles. I live in Roy, Utah. I am available for in-person lessons in my area, or online lessons if you are far away.
My teaching focuses on a students strengths and motivations for learning. Each student is different, and I personalize their curriculum to reach their goals as well as focusing on musical fundamentals.
I began playing guitar at age 6, and I've always been passionate about it. I have toured the country as a guitar player, played thousands of gigs, and have published original music.
I am equally passionate about teaching-- I love to see the light in a students eyes, when they have a breakthrough! I have over 30 years of experience teaching guitar and bass to all ages. I have children and grandchildren of my own, and I love working with kids. I also have many adult students who started later in life but are doing great learning a new, fun skill. I believe that anyone who is willing to go for it can learn to play music at a high level.
I am positive, patient, motivating and full of love for music!

Dan has been an amazing teacher for my family members for many years! He is very easy to work with around scheduling and extremely patient with kids. The thing I love the most is that he lets every student learn at their pace. They choose the music they want to learn, which helps keep them motivated and engaged. Dan taught my niece lessons over 20 years ago and now both of my kids are able to learn from him as well.
I will always recommend him immediately for anyone looking to learn. He has a variety of instruments that he teaches. I have one learning guitar and another learning ukulele.

I started taking lessons with Dan as someone who has experience playing but never took formal training. Dan is knowledgeable enough that I feel like I can ask more involved questions and Dan does a great job of explaining things in a way that is easy to digest. Started out unsure if 45 minutes would be too long of a lesson, and have found myself surprised with just how quickly those 45 minutes fly by.

Learning how to play the guitar is an a great life skill investment
If you’re looking for a guitar teacher, I can’t recommend Dan Nobles enough! I am a beginner self-taught. I wanted to reach the intermediate level on the guitar. I felt stuck, so I went on a hunt for a teacher. I tried three teachers before Dan Nobles; he has amazed me with how he teaches me. I don’t feel intimidated by learning theory anymore. He’s giving me a new perspective on how to use my instrument. The person who recommended him to me said, “He is the best in Utah; give him a try. You won’t be disappointed,” and I am not disappointed; Im so grateful to find him and so excited to continue learning!

Dan is super talented and knowledgeable about music and a variety of instruments. He is very understanding and accommodating when it comes to lesson times and scheduling. I am a beginner and he has a lot of good tips on how to learn certain playing styles, music types, etc. I never feel like he is frustrated with me or annoyed by my mistakes as a beginner. Overall, super great guy and was definitely meant to teach!
10/10 would recommend.

Dan is extremely knowledgable and well qualified with 30 years experience of teaching guitar, his classes are fun, I look forward every week to go learn , he is very patient and explains how to make it easier to learn and play the guitar,
Dan has a very good demeanor about him, I can tell, I was going to only do a couple lessons to see how it goes and I knew after the first lesson that I wanted Dan to be my guitar instructor, he inspires me not only in playing guitar but in life in general, I would highly recommend Dan at Cloud Nine music lessons, once you take dans classes you wont want to go anywhere else

I went to Dan Nobles as an experienced player of 20+years who had found himself in a rut with no direction of how to improve. Dan was able to pinpoint my weaknesses immediately and within weeks I was performing on stage with new skills, and a newfound confidence that continues to grow everyday.
