My teaching approach:

I have been a full time guitar instructor for over 10 years. I teach beginning to advanced in all ages, and in many different musical styles. My philosophy on teaching guitar is to ensure that the student learns all the tools necessary to achieve their personal goals and most importantly to have fun doing it.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

I find out the students playing ability. whether or not they have played a guitar or any other instrument. I go over notes, and send students with home work and disclose practice schedules .

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

I will teach beginner all the way to intermediate. I teach with hand outs and hands on. teach how to read notes and finger placement.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

my ideal guitar student is a student that practices. Practice is the key ingredient for playing any instrument.
