I have 16 years of Piano lessons with Katherine H. Townsend from 4yrs of age through my two years of college at Laramie County Community College, Cheyenne, Wyoming,  where I majored in Elementary education and music.

I moved to Montana where I home educated my 5 children.I taught private piano, Music appreciation, and music history to our home school group there from 1989 to 1997.

I then worked as a para professional in the pre-school special education program of the Great Falls education district.

Moving to Utah I was a church musician at Moutain Vista UMC for many years as a keyboardist and children's choir director.

I started this private piano studio in 2014. I am a member of the MTNA and NFMC and attend ongoing learning opportunities each year in state conferences , webinars, and local chapter meetings of the Utah music Teachers association. My students play in the Federation festivals and I serve as a judge in these festivals. I recently have served on the board of the Jordan River chapter of the UTMA in the position of Vice President of Membership.

My standard fee is $34 an hour. This is $17for a 30 minute lesson. I have my students pay tuition which also includes a material fee. Tuition is $70per month for a 30 minute weekly lesson or $105 per month for 45 minute weekly lesson. At the end of winter semester and spiring semester we have an all studio recital which is included in this tuition. Fees for competitions and festivals are extra.

I have always loved to teach children from the time I taught my younger brother who is 8 years younger than myself. Teaching and music are my two passions.
