What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Finding out what the student already knows about guitar if applicable. There are many approaches to learn guitar. I find their is a unique approach in teaching students what they want to learn not always what they have to learn. I like to keep my lessons fun and inspiring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Almost 40 years personal experience with careful listening and precise ear training and music theory. I can play anything I can hear.

How did you get started teaching?
Naturally, I'm a people person and I just love interacting with different people. So what better way to embrace both interacting with individuals and my passion for music is to teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types on different levels. Different personalities and formulating lessons within my students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently showed a student how to "tune up". I enjoyed their smile in amazement in the lesson.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A teacher that knows what the student wants if they wish. A teacher that is adaptable to any students preference in styles. A good connection with student and teacher always makes the lesson better.
