Preludio Music Lessons

First lesson is free. Choose three songs you want to learn. Together we'll break down to song structure and use it as a beginning to understanding music and music theory. We'll cover ear training, intervals and rhythms. 

I completed music theory and musicianship in the 1980s and sang at the 1984 opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics. I directed choirs in Los Angeles in churches from 1984 to 1991. More recently, I've been playing and singing at farmers markets, micro breweries and  churches in northern Virginia. In addition I've been playing and study double bass. 

Generally, I charge what I've seen being charged by others. If after the first free lesson, you want to continue but can't afford the rate, please let me know. I'm happy to work with you.

Initially, I started when I was studying music in school. I was playing in the school jazz band (Big Band sound) and orchestra. Lessons were mostly acoustic guitar and electric bass in the local community and church. It was really great to see young learners grow and develop a greater interest in music.

I'll work with students of all ages.
