I love seeing my students develop a love for music. That in itself is one of the main reasons I teach. No matter how long they’ve been playing or what their skill level, I want my students to enjoy playing their instrument. I want to help them increase their appreciation for music, piano and performance. I like to focus on what the student wants to learn, and build a curriculum to help them achieve their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am a Suzuki trained teacher- which specializes at teaching young students at the start. It's focused on listening, repetition and imitation. For an older student- I try to focus on many different aspects of their musical trianing- theory, technique, improvisation, songwriting, sightreading, and different styles of music. And I like to focus on what the student enjoys as well!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am trained to teach the Suzuki method, as well as classically. I am a graduate from George Mason University. I also attended the Steve Hurst School of Music and was involved at the National Jazz Workshop.
