Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We encourage all new and interested students to come in and check out our school. This gives them an idea of what our school is like, our instructors, and also how the classes are.
From there we also encourage all new students to try our TRIAL LESSON SPECIAL in which they begin their 2 trial classes and learn the basics of Tae Kwon Do, our school rules, and also the importance of responsibility, discipline, and respect for others.
Trial students allow us the chance to introduce ourselves to them as we begin setting them up for a new experience that they can begin to feel more comfortable in they progress.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our TRIAL LESSON SPECIAL is only $19.99 and includes 2 trial classes and a free uniform to all new students and it allows them the chance to try out our classes and get an educated opinion on whether they wish to continue or not.
We have 3 different membership programs that allow our students to come in 2 or 3 times a week for class.
Our first program is the 30 MONTH PROGRAM in which it is monthly payments of $149 for the next 30 months (2 years and 6 months).
Our second program is the 15 MONTH PROGRAM in which it is monthly payments of $169 for the next 15 months (1 year and 3 months).
Our third program is the MONTH TO MONTH PROGRAM in which it is a monthly payment of $199 for each month students are enrolled.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Advice that could be given to a possible student is be awareful of your time, responsibilities and what you hope to gain from a new experience such as learning a new sport. Patience is important in any new skill or hobby one picks up and nothing happens overnight, results are not always instaneous. It takes time for you to notice progress but you definitely feel when progress has been made.
Time is important to know because being something that you want to be WILL TAKE TIME. It requires dedication to what you want to learn and the personal effort you need to make in order for it to happen.
Responsibilty is important because we have to be responsible for what we want to learn but also for how we want to learn it as well. Making that effort to come to class, trying your absolute best every time, and reflect on what we did right/wrong and how it shapes the next time is all from how responsible we are with the time we spending in a new hobby such as learning Tae Kwon Do.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Something that we feel students should think through before starting with our school is time and how to manage it. We have many students, of various ages and many are in school whether it be elementary - high school or higher education like a community college or 4 year university.
It is important to note that we all have our responsibilities and obligations to fulfill and we should prioritize. It is nice to have extracurricular activities in order to relieve stress and help us develop but we should be mindful of whatever duties we have that should not be brushed away or left in conflict with other matters.
We want our students to be better versions of themselves than when they started and this includes responsibility above all. Tae Kwon Do is more than just punching and kicking but also how we can better our character and be someone we can be proud because of what we did and how we did it.
