Mike Rainsberger Music Lessons

Hello! I’m Mike! I’m an educated career Jazz Bassist who loves to teach kids and adults to love music as much as I do! I teach guitar, bass (electric and upright), piano, music theory and ear training. No matter what instrument you’re learning, you’ll always learn theory with me, as I believe that you must have a firm foundation to truly understand how music “works”. I’m a native of Falls Church, Virginia and have toured throughout the country and Eastern Europe playing electric and upright bass in all styles of music through musical theatre touring groups, cruise ships and playing with major label recording artists such as Citizen Cope, Tim Eyermann, Meredith Brooks, Pearl Kaufman, Duke Daniels (of The Platters), Nap Turner, and David Grohl. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in 1995 and have taught music throughout my career at University level, private studios and now in my home studio in Winchester, VA.
