About
Conservatory trained classical music teacher with more than 20 years experience. Teach all levels of piano and theory music. Have taught children of all ages, adults and children with learning disabilities.
I have performed in local bands, community theatre, and as instrumental and choir accompanist.
I approach students as individuals and attempt to challenge each according to their own unique potential. Music is not easy, and may not always be "fun". However, given sufficient time and structured practice, it does become enjoyable to master the many different aspects of this art.
I believe that given a chance all people may learn how to play an instrument.
I am a member of the Springfield Music Club and participate in the Board being one of their past presidents.
One of my most precious delights is to see the growth in knowledge and understanding I see as students progress in their piano playing. As they learn to master the instrument I can experience their delight and I can see their transformation from the drudgery of practicing as a chore to practicing for fun and accomplishment.
