About
Piano lessons are taught with the students music goals in mind. Mr. Kurt has a unique way to connect with his students and learning to play the piano becomes fun! Mr. Kurt has many years of successful experience in teaching piano.
I enjoy helping piano students reach their musical goals.
My goal is to teach them to learn to play new music on their own without the help from me the teacher. I love to see my students sitting at the piano and enjoy their music making.
It is something they will have with them for life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will set a lesson time to meet. Ask them to describe their piano or keyboard to me. Introduce them to the piano showing them many details about the instrument and how it produces its sound. Begin teaching music and how to play the piano. They will be given weekly assignments in their lesson book or solo sheet music. Music is fun so it shouldn't be difficult! I will show them the best ways to practice from week to week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BMus degree in keyboard from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN and a Master of Music degree in Sacred music from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ
