About

I've created a home study course, available as weekly lessons, via eBook, designed to teach beginners how to play the guitar quickly and easily. The intent of theses lessons, is to have students playing within a matter of weeks, instead of months, based upon instruction in instrument type, anatomy, selection, maintenance, basic music theory, chord formation, chord progressions, and more.

I look forward to helping students go from musical novices to guitar players!

Frequently asked questions

It all begins with a grounding in guitar anatomy, selection, and mantainance, a primer in simple music theory, and study of the key chord formations.

I began learning the guitar at age 12, though never becoming proficent with it. As the lead singer and frontman of my own band for over 20 years, I was fortunate to have my lead guitarist from the band begin instructing my son in the guitar a little over twelve years ago, and after three lessons suggesting teaching the both of us. As I became confident in my abilities, I began to accompany myself as a solo artist, and realized my goal of becoming an actual songwriter when I began composing melodies for my own lyrics.

The price for the entire course is $60.00.

I began to teach after many fans in the audiences of my solo shows, expressed interest in how I learnedto play so quickly.

My students have all been beginners, aged from 12 years to 67 years.

My last performance before moving to Weehawken, was at the Saude Creek Winery in New Kent County, Virginia, where I had been a part of their regular rotation of performers since 2016. I got to see many of my loyal fans and friends, on a familiar stage, as my last hurrah as a resident of my home state. It was a special day!

Look for someone who makes this process fun, because if it's not fun for you, you won't continue.

1. Are you willing to commit to routine daily practice?

2. Is there a particular style of music that you want to learn?

3. Are you looking to learn to play for fun, or do you want to explore the instrument as a study?
