The Taylor Robinson Music Company offers a unique and innovative approach to modern music training. Shying away from the conventional, solely academic methods of teaching, our students learn to play "from the heart". Many of our instructors have either toured nationally or internationally in modern music projects. They are professional song-writers, recording artists, and performing musicians and it is this real-world experience that makes our approach unique. Our lessons stress technique instead of text and focus on practice by playing songs instead of repeating drills. Moreover, instead of learning standard beginner songs, our instructors teach by using the songs that the student is interested in. We cover all genres of music including rock, pop, metal, alternative rock, acoustic singer/songwriter, blues and country. By using this hands-on approach, we have found that our students remain motivated in their lessons and are much more likely to stick with their instruments for life.
For your convenience, you can either receive lessons at one of our studios or in the comfort of your own home. We can also accommodate nearly any schedule. We understand that work and school are important priorities, so when you have the time to learn, we'll make the time to teach.
Taylor Robinson Music can provide instruction for any instrument including guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, keyboards, vocals, drums, engineering, and midi-processing. We also provide band direction in the areas of performance, stage presence, song-writing, recording, promotion, advertising, managing, tour planning, album recording, production, and store consignment.

Everyone is different. I listed first to goals, and preferred style of learning and create a custom lesson plan to fit.

Exact price is dependent on the pacakge choice.
An extra $5 is added to travel to you home.
How did you get started teaching?
Taylor began playing guitar at age 10 with help from a family barber and by 16 he was premiering in local Dallas garage bands. Throughout high school, he continued to hone his skills as a singer, songwriter, and guitar player by forming and touring with the rock band, “Fallen From the Nest”. It was then that Taylor began developing his craft as an engineer and producer by apprenticing under the renowned Hollywood producer Harvey Guerst (Bob Dylan, The Byrds, The Doors, Kenny Rogers, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin).
Through his college years at North Texas University, he worked as an engineer at Indian Trails Recording Studio in Denton, TX and Steven Arnold Studios in Allen, TX. It was during this time that he began to tour internationally with the rock band “Fallen From the Nest” (Sony) where he co-wrote and released 3 albums. In 2003, between tours, Taylor began giving lessons with the hands on, working knowledge, approach he had acquired from his time on the road. His students appreciated this “From the Heart” teaching perspective and, as his student base grew, Taylor began to take on other pro musician instructors.
Today, the Taylor Robinson Music Company networks with over 14,000 contract instructors and has served over 100,000 lessons in all 50 states. In August 2012, Taylor graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a Masters in Business Administration. Still, Taylor Robinson Music continues to be a leader in its industry by offering quality, unique, and diverse music instruction guided by a true concern for every student.
