Ever wanted to play guitar or learn how to write and craft your own songs? Or perhaps you've had that old dusty guitar sitting in the corner, and you're ready to get back into playing again... Either way, I'd love to be a part of your musical journey! I've been playing music professionally for over 7 years now, and teaching guitar to students of all ages for 10 years. Each lesson is catered to the student's individual strengths and in a positive and fun learning environment that allows them to define and refine their musical talents. So, whether it be rock, blues, jazz, classical, country, pop, or writing your own songs, I can help make it easy and fun.

Experience
20 years of acoustic, electric, and bass guitar.
15 years of experience performing in front audiences nationwide.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50 per hour lesson and $30 for a half hour lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I prefer the student to either own or rent a guitar for our lessons. Daily practice works the best when learning a new instrument, so it always helps that they have a guitar to play on.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from 6 years old to 70 years old. From the absolute beginner player, to the motivated singer/songwriter, to the retired hobbyist, I've taught them all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I got to teach actor Alan Rickman (Snape from Harry Potter) how to play guitar for the movie CBGB.
My music was featured on the show Bellevue with Anna Paquin earlier this year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that you're comfortable with and that you can have a good time with. Guitar is supposed to be fun and challenging. It's not something you should dread doing. It should feel rewarding! Look for a teacher that is still involved in music outside of teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you able to practice consistenly?
Do you have a spot open weekly to fit guitar lessons in?
Do you see guitar players on TV and think, "I'd love to do that!"
