About
I studied Voice Performance at the University of Michigan and I am finishing my Master of Voice Pedagogy degree at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Summer 2017. I am a member of if National Association of Teachers of Singing. I teach voice lessons for students 13 and older and singing/ music lessons for younger students. I also teach piano for performance as well as "piano for singers."
I enjoy helping students develop healthy vocal technique for the type of work they wish to pursue. I teach classical voice especially but I have students who sing music theater and rock and roll. My goal is to empower students and keep them healthy! I study both classical and CCM (non classical popular commercial music) pedagogy. I emphasize musical development for those who desire it. I can teach sightsinging and music reading also for those who want to improve as soloists or ensemble members. I love teaching beginners or advanced singers. I specialize in those who "always wanted to sing but never did". Personally, I love opera and classical singing and am delighted to teach students interested in preserving this traditional music as well.
